Meet Alexandria Sandlin

I wanted to learn how to turn my art into more product-focused design, and before I started Immersion I was having a pretty bad art block and not really creating for a few years. Learning a new skill helped me think about my art in a different way and helped get my creativity moving again. I was worried about the cost before doing this, but it was worth it because I was able to learn everything in one place quickly, and I love being able to revisit the course information whenever I need a refresh.

What I loved most was seeing my finished work on finished products. This year I’ve been creating fresh designs for different products using Adobe Illustrator. I’ve made prints, stickers, and other fun personal items with my patterns, and I’m getting ready to do some fun apparel next. My plan is to sell directly to customers and hopefully wholesale.

I now have a side hustle, and I have successfully mastered this skill and feel so proud of myself. If I could go back, I’d say: just do it! It opens up a whole new skillset. Take this course if you want to learn functional Illustrator skills fast.
