Before Immersion, I had completely given up on my creative path. I spent ten years working in our family-run restaurant, convinced that creativity was something I’d left behind. When my daughter was born, I found myself with quiet hours during her naps and started craving something that was mine, something that made me feel alive again. I wanted to reconnect with that part of myself I had buried for so long.

At first, I was hesitant about joining Immersion because of the cost — it was the first time I’d ever paid that much for something online, and I worried I could just learn everything for free on the internet. But saying yes to the course changed everything. My mindset, my patience, and my belief in what’s possible were completely transformed. I learned to keep moving forward even when things get tough, and my identity as a creative shifted entirely. Before Immersion, I was creating artwork as a hobby, but now I know that the world needs my work.

The best part of the course was seeing how pattern design fits into the bigger picture — how each creative skill connects to a larger purpose. Bonnie doesn’t just teach you the “how,” she teaches you the “why,” creating a complete system that ties creativity, business, and mindset together.

Along the way, I gained not just technical skills in Illustrator and pattern design, but also the mindset to sustain a creative life. Learning to stay patient, move through doubt, and keep going when progress feels slow.

Since completing the course, I’ve launched The Creative Diaries Podcast, where I interview other creatives about their journeys — something I never would have had the courage or mindset to do before. I’ve also built my first collections, launched my website, started my email list, and grown my Instagram, each one feeling like another piece of the puzzle falling into place.

Looking ahead, I’m focused on staying consistent with my podcast, connecting with more creatives, and building my creative business at a pace that feels sustainable. My goal is to reach Episode 100, and hopefully, interview Bonnie herself when I get there.
