Meet Kate Colleran

I have had a lifelong love of fabrics. I started sewing as a young child and taught myself to make quilts. While working as a nurse and raising my children, I decided to design quilt patterns and started a side business selling them. 

I wanted to take Immersion because I love fabric and patterns and I wanted to learn how to create my own fabric designs. And this time, I wanted a little more help rather than trying to learn it all on my own. The Immersion course gave me confidence that I could do this no matter my age or lack of experience.

After taking Immersion, I have had a digital fabric line out in stores with Suite B Fabrics and a batik line with Island Batik. And I have more batik lines in the works. Who knew! I also recently opened a Society 6 shop with some designs I created.
