Meet Kathleen Atkinson

I came across pattern design a few years ago and instantly loved that I could make a pattern and receive instant gratification, something I don't always get as a Graphic Designer. Twenty years in the design industry and this was a game changer as to what I really wanted to be doing. Sometimes as graphic designers, we create something and never see it in its true form. Creating a pattern, however, felt complete the minute I saw my design repeat...endlessly! 

Immersion was a door opening. It answered technical and industry questions I had that I couldn't find answers to before, established goal settings that were reachable, brought back my daily art practice, and so much more! 

In a year, I have established a brand, a website, a following on Instagram, and designs for licensing. Best of all, I have new friends and a community that makes me more confident that I can do this. I feel that I am not alone in this journey. I am now looking forward to pitching my patterns and starting a newsletter to grow and connect even more! I am excited to look back in a year to see more growth because I know it is coming and it is all due to Immersion 2022!
