Meet Kathrin Woo

Before I heard of Surface Pattern Design, I had been teaching teenagers and adults German as a foreign language. This job was quite fun but it didn't fulfill me. I dug deep to find my real passion which is creating and then it was just a short time until I first read about Surface Pattern Design online.

Since I've always secretly dreamt of building my own business and being able to work from home, I decided to take the Immersion Course and learn from Bonnie. I was a total newbie and had never even heard of Adobe Illustrator. When I started out with the course, I literally felt like a little kid that learns how to walk. Now, I am using keyboard shortcuts like I've never done anything else and feel comfortable using the program.

Although I grow slow, I've successfully licensed my first design to a big company a couple of months ago. This was so rewarding and great! Realizing that I can actually make money from my art feels amazing. My passion for Surface Pattern Design has grown ever since I took the Immersion Course and I am excited for everything that's ahead of me. Taking the Immersion Course was one of the most transformational and best decisions of my whole life!
