Meet Kelli Leonhardt

I started out as a hobby watercolor artist, mostly painting nature scenes. Over time, I began experimenting with Procreate and quickly fell in love with it. While looking for classes to learn more, I came across a free workshop on becoming a surface pattern designer. At the time, I didn’t really know what that meant, but after taking the course, I was hooked and decided to join Immersion 2023.

The investment was daunting at first, but in the end I’m so glad I took the leap, because it completely changed the way I see the world. Now, when I look at nature, I notice so many shapes, patterns, and colors that inspire new design ideas I never would have seen before.

One of my favorite parts of the course was learning Adobe Illustrator. Bonnie’s teaching style made it feel approachable and much less intimidating than I expected.
