Before starting this journey, I worked as a Home Health Aide, transcriptionist, and ran a baking business from home. I was growing tired of the idea of my time and physical output being directly correlated to my income.

I love Bonnie and her energy around teaching/guiding others, but I was worried that there was not a place for me in this industry because I didn't know anyone who worked in the field.

After taking Immersion, I found a clarity of vision that I hadn't had before. I knew I was always drawn to fashion, home decor, & stationery but never really thought about why. During the course, I realized it wasn't for the glamourous reasons most people would think, but I was intrigued by the creation of the designs, patterns on the textiles, & styling of different pieces.

The best part of the Immersion course was the interactions with the Bonnie Christine staff and community. Creative work can be so isolating sometimes, and the energy that they all brought was like a breath of fresh air.

My greatest skill acquired was learning Adobe Illustrator! It was so intimidating, but Bonnie made it digestible and so much easier to navigate.

If someone was on the fence about taking Immersion, I would tell them to create an honest pros and cons list. It took me two years before I was able to invest in myself with Immersion because I was scared. Please don't let fear stop you from taking a chance on yourself and enhancing your skillset.

If you know deep down you want to be in this industry. You are in great hands with Bonnie and the Immersion Community. You will get so much more out of this than you realize, but you have to show up for yourself, do the work, and participate as much as possible!
