Meet Laura Reed
Every time I get a like or a small sale on Spoonflower I feel like it is a win and a step closer to my bigger goals.
I previously had a career in high tech and business. I have a BA in Mathematics and an MBA, and I worked for almost twenty years before getting married and having my first daughter at the age of forty. Two more daughters later, I chose to step away from my career to raise them. I have always had a creative side, so when a friend posted about one of your workshops a few years ago, I was intrigued. I did not sign up for Immersion that year because two thousand dollars felt like a lot with our educational expenses for three daughters.
The following year I took another free workshop. I really wanted to learn more and remembered that I had some inheritance money from my grandmothers. I decided to use part of it as an investment in myself. Through the course, I learned a solid foundation that I can continue to grow on as a creative. I am still working toward my bigger goals of getting licensed.
This past year we built a new house, sold a house and moved, so I was not able to devote the time I needed. But now that we have settled in, I am treating my business as a full time job. I love the direction Bonnie Christine is taking with Pattern+ and I am gaining more confidence every day.
