Before Immersion, I was struggling with my creative business. I had put my Etsy shop on vacation to submerge myself into motherhood and enjoy my new baby. But in doing so, I had unknowingly stopped traffic and momentum to my online store and my once-regular income dried out. I tried everything for two years but nothing worked.
An Etsy friend of mine, who have been following Bonnie for many years, told me about Immersion. It so happen that a company had asked me for a "collection" and I had no idea how to put one together. And here was this course right in front of nose, literally giving me a roadmap on how to succeed as a creative. The only problem was, do I use what little money I had left to invest in myself or for another month of groceries? I had already spent so much on other courses, and still had no results.
It took me every bit of courage to sign up (on the last day no less)! But I was so glad I did because I had never been happier to be at 'school'. I couldn't wait until the next lesson and even though I thought I knew Adobe Illustrator well, I learned a whole new way of using it. Immersion opened my eyes, heart and mind. I loved every lesson and every bit of Bonnie's wisdom. It made me feel I could really do this and I even had a job title I never heard of before - I was a surface pattern designer!
Every year since finishing Immersion in 2018, I've been able to make consistent progress and have worked on many exciting projects and with many dream clients but the proudest moment was when my homeware range for Target Australia was released in stores nation-wide last December 2021. I could not believe it was happening to me and I was constantly pinching myself at the photo shoot. So, I'm not exaggerating when I say Immersion changed everything for me.
If you are on the fence on joining Immersion, I know exactly how you feel. I can still remember the butterflies in my tummy when I was about to enrol, but trust me, your future self will thank you and love you for it.
More than anything in the world, Immersion have given me my self-confidence back. I'm no longer just someone's daughter, wife and mother. I am also an artist, a creative entrepreneur, a mentor, a speaker, and much, much more. In three years, I have turned my life around and now have a six-figure business with every possibility of going above and beyond.
