Meet Mollie McGeever

I had just taken up watercolor and had always noticed and loved beautiful patterns all around me. After hearing from creative friends who had taken Immersion, I thought why not me. I would love to learn how to do this… would it be possible? The answer is a resounding yes. Bonnie’s course gave me the tools, the courage, and the incredible support of her guides and experts to believe that yes, I can do this.

When I began Immersion, I was worried about my age and whether I could learn an advanced program like Illustrator. I doubted my ability to create beautiful patterns and the price was substantial. But what changed is that my confidence and joy in my creative journey went to a new level. Immersion helped me grow in confidence as an artist, develop my skills, and shift my mindset. The support from the experts and guides made learning SPD possible, and the relationships I made have been one of the best parts of the whole experience.

My biggest aha moment was realizing that I can figure stuff out. At 67, it wasn’t easy to learn Illustrator and so many other tech things, yet I learned to create beautiful watercolor and make beautiful patterns that I can license and use in so many ways. Immersion was such a great investment. I learned so much in so many areas, grew in confidence, and made so many connections that I am still in touch with.

Since Immersion, I have landed two licensing deals for fabric collections and am working on several others. I have become a Star Seller in my Etsy shop, with over 2,200 sales, selling my watercolor creations. I have used my Illustrator skills not only for pattern making but for art prints, my logo, and products for my Etsy shop. Immersion opened the door to so many wonderful avenues for me.

One of the biggest surprises has been encouraging other artists who are just starting out or feeling stuck, discouraged, or overwhelmed. People began coming to me, and I saw there was a real need. It has become a new income stream that I never saw coming, and it brings me so much joy.

Immersion launched me into more and more creativity, licensing deals, a successful Etsy shop, and loads of new friends and skills. It has made a huge impact in my life, and I am so thankful to Bonnie, her team, and all the wonderful people who have helped me along the way.
