Meet Peggy

Before I started my journey with Surface Pattern Design, I was exploring different creative paths but didn’t feel fully confident in my skills or direction. I wanted to take the Immersion course because I dreamed of building a creative career that gives me time, location, and financial freedom  and I knew learning Illustrator and design fundamentals would help me get there.

At first, I hesitated because Illustrator seemed complicated and I wasn’t sure if I could keep up. But once I joined Immersion, I realized everything was taught in small, bite-sized lessons that made it easy to follow without feeling overwhelmed. Bonnie explained even the tricky parts in such a simple and encouraging way.

After taking Immersion, everything changed, I became confident using Illustrator and started working on my dream portfolio. I haven’t started pitching to clients yet, but I’m now preparing and building a body of work I’m truly proud of. The best part of the program was the supportive community, especially the Love Squad, where I could always turn for help and problem-solving whenever I got stuck.

One of the biggest skills I’ve gained is not just mastering Illustrator, but believing in myself as a designer. I’m now more motivated than ever to keep learning, refining my style, and working toward the creative freedom I’ve always wanted. Immersion gave me the tools, confidence, and community to make that dream possible.
