Meet Sarah Garcia

Before Immersion, I was a stay-at-home mom with an Interior Design degree that I wasn’t using. I knew I wanted to do something creative from home, but I had no idea what direction to take. Then I heard Bonnie talking about surface design. I did a deep dive into what surface design actually was, and that was my aha moment. I instantly knew this was exactly what I had been looking for, my only problem was that I had no clue where to begin.

I hesitated to take Immersion because of the cost, but ultimately I decided to invest in myself. And truly, Immersion was the BEST decision I’ve made. No regrets. I gained so much confidence in both myself and my work.

After Immersion, I kept refining my skills, joined Flourish, and continued growing as a small business owner and designer. Since then, I’ve licensed over ten designs with Sand & Fog, collaborated with boutique brands on baby clothing and pet accessories, become a rising teacher on Skillshare, have been steadily growing my Spoonflower shop, placed in the top 10 of several Spoonflower challenges, been featured in an Eastfork design collaboration, and built a digital pattern and graphic shop on Etsy.

I have so many big plans and dreams for my small design studio, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Thank you, Bonnie, for showing me what’s possible!
