Bonnie makes learning fun, exciting, and having a supporting and loving community going though it with you feels so encouraging. Truly one of the best courses I've ever taken!

Before surface pattern design I was solely working on my calligraphy business. It involved SEO, outreach, and building up my online presence to be found and to find clients through connection. Now I am found by clients for on-site calligraphy and with that set on autopilot, I have found a way to create 1-3 collections a year and have built up my licensing portfolio!

I've learned how to simplify my creative process for pattern work that feels fun and is manageable, without being strict with my time. I've built several versions of portfolios and now feel I have my own way of presenting my work that feels like me in a form that I can share with brands when pitching my work more confidently!

Since Immersion, I've created a total of 4 full collections and a mini collection as well as created brainstorms for 5 more collections to pull from based on where I feel most creatively aligned. I'm working on continuing to build up my portfolio by taking on the monthly challenges in Pattern + that feel like a great creative fit for me! I've submitted 1 but have started on 3 that feel the most like me.

The best part of Immersion is the accountability groups! The course is amazing and having a small, focused group to go through the course with, hold accountability with, and share wins and struggles was such an immense boost of confidence! We were able to encourage one another, ask or answer questions, share knowledge, or a focused skill we mastered and could share with our group. Truly an added bonus you don't want to miss!

My goal this next year is to really push myself to share my artwork across social media and be found for licensing and continue to pitch my work! I want to create in a rhythm that is fulfilling in me both in time and frequency while allowing myself to rest and feel refreshed!
