Meet Sophie Quiling
Before I started Immersion 2025, I had recently quit my corporate job in project management. I was struggling with the juggle of parenthood with two young kids and could not find any balance between work and home. My mental health was suffering and I felt hopeless, unsure of what direction to take next. I saw a post on Instagram and felt compelled to learn more. I have always loved pattern design and it felt like the right path for me, even if only to learn a new skill. I did not look back.
I loved the course. I approached it like being back at university, showing up every day and fully immersing myself in learning and discovery. Every day felt like an AHA moment. Each module and each lesson offered new information and skills that were truly transferable and relatable. The bonus content was exactly that, real bonus material that was incredibly inspiring.
I am currently working on my fifth collection. I have set up a print on demand shop and started making some sales, and I have also started pitching for licensing deals, none of which I had any idea how to do before Immersion. I am looking forward to filling my shop with more patterns, creating more work, landing my first licensing deal and possibly exploring physical products next year.
