Meet Tracey McGrath
I had been painting in oil and acrylics for a few years before taking Immersion. I wanted to learn a new skill that would allow me to scale my art and work toward getting licensed, or at least understand more about that path. The Pattern Plus Week was a great way to learn about the program and experience Bonnie’s style of teaching, which I love. It also gave me the confidence to try something new.
I was a little hesitant because of the investment, especially since I have spent a lot on courses in the past and am trying to be more discerning. This course definitely delivered. I felt like I truly learned a real skill, along with all the extras Bonnie includes. Even receiving the physical workbook in the mail was amazing. The best part was the course itself and being able to access everything whenever it fit into my schedule.
After taking Immersion, I feel more open minded about digital tools and more willing to experiment in my artwork. I feel more confident in my own voice and in putting something I created out into the world. Through my small group, I was introduced to Procreate and have since learned the program and created a line of greeting cards. It has been so fun and has relieved a lot of stress and pressure. I am genuinely enjoying creating cards that I hope will brighten someone’s day.
I have updated my website to include my card offerings and sold several at a recent local market. I am now reaching out to local businesses to see if they would like to carry the cards in their stores. I also published a gratitude journal for moms on Amazon.
Next, I want to continue designing and expanding my card collections, create a coloring book and keep working on illustrating and writing my children’s book called The Lost Sneeze. Yay, and a big thank you!
