Meet Wendy Ching
If you're intimidated by Illustrator but want to learn it for pattern design, Immersion is GREAT, especially if you love a caring teacher and support team plus an engaged and encouraging community.
Immersion 2020 was a wonderful experience, especially during such unpredictable times. Bonnie’s expert guidance and genuine warmth meant even more to me during the pandemic. Before Immersion, I had tried learning pattern design with another software program. After Immersion, I was surprised to find that Illustrator became the tool I felt most comfortable reaching for.
There are so many things I loved about Immersion that I know I will forget a few, but some of my favorites include the way Bonnie breaks Illustrator into very manageable steps and the way she and her support team are truly there for you. It makes such a difference having them, along with alumni and fellow students, surrounding you. There is a unique energy during the live portion of the course that is incredibly valuable. Even if you cannot keep up with every lesson, I still highly recommend doing as much as you can while the course is live. It makes a huge difference in what you get out of the experience.
When I re enrolled two years later, I wondered if Bonnie had become so successful that her personal touch might have faded. But that was not the case at all. She was still there, fully present, and clearly invested in her students.
Although I have been slow to make progress for more than five years, I am still keeping my dream alive. Bonnie’s mindset lessons help a lot with that. I hope one day I will have a win or a useful testimonial to share. The artwork I attached was created in Illustrator, and I would never have been able to do that before Immersion.
Thank you, Bonnie and team.
