Meet Nisha Chilaka

Before I began my journey with Surface Pattern Design, I was running my own embroidery business. I had an embroidery unit, created hand-embroidered pieces, and even worked on digital designs. But I reached a point where I didn’t know how to move forward. I felt stuck. 

While scrolling online, I came across Bonnie Christine’s Immersion, and it opened a completely new path for me. I had never worked with Adobe Illustrator before, and I had doubts. I wondered whether I would understand the software, whether I could adapt to something completely new, and if I was capable of building a career in Surface Pattern Design. 

But through Immersion, I have gained so much confidence and a step-by-step roadmap. Bonnie’s way of teaching is incredibly detailed; she explains everything with such care that even the most overwhelming concepts start to feel simple. And I loved the incredible creative community. It was such a supportive space where I could connect with other artists, make genuine friendships, and be surrounded by so much talent and inspiration. The course itself was exceptional, with real guidance at every step. It felt like being part of something bigger, a place where learning, encouragement, and creativity all came together in the most meaningful way.
