Meet Becky Semborski

I am an elementary art teacher with a long-standing passion for pattern design. Initially, I taught myself and even started my own business; however, I soon realized I needed a deeper understanding of surface pattern design and how to turn it into a sustainable career. A few years later, I discovered the Immersion Course, which felt like exactly what I had been searching for. Although the cost initially gave me pause, my desire to grow in this field motivated me to enroll in 2021—and it proved to be the right decision.

The Immersion Course exceeded my expectations, providing comprehensive instruction in Adobe Illustrator for surface design as well as the essential knowledge to launch a professional career in the field. I am now selling my designs on fabric and wallpaper through Spoonflower, a print-on-demand company, and have recently launched my own website. While I’ve experienced some success so far, I am continuing to build my portfolio and plan to explore licensing opportunities in the future.
