Meet Cristy Brickell

Before Immersion, I had a huge collection of art classes I’d start (but rarely finish), and a debilitating case of ‘I’ll never be good enough’.  

My inner voice was constantly telling me I’d never make my own art (I always followed what the instructor was doing), or like my art, or be good enough to show my art to anyone. The list goes on. I certainly never imagined I’d be good enough to sell my art.

If I’m honest with myself, I expected Immersion to end up being just like all those other art classes. I’m so glad I was wrong!

Instead of having me copy what an instructor was doing, Immersion taught me to think and act like a professional artist – tackling my inner critic while creating my own unique patterns. It also taught me about marketing and selling/licensing my art. And anytime I stumbled or had questions, Bonnie, the support team, and the on-line community were there to guide me.

Immersion changed my life. Really. I don’t recognize who I was last year. I entered Immersion knowing nothing about Illustrator, digital art, Surface Pattern Design, or social media. Now I make art every day, share my art regularly, and sell my art on print-on-demand sites.
