The Immersion Course has been a transformative journey for me in 2020. During that time, I had moved to London from Malaysia for a short period following my husband and took a career break from education.

I decided to embark on the Immersion Course, drawn by the possibilities of putting my designs on products and captivated by the warmth and kindness shown by Bonnie. I didn't even know such a job existed!

The cost and the use of Illustrator initially held me back, as it was a significant amount for me at the time, not being employed. Not only that learning new software had always been a challenge for me.

However, my mindset and perception of life changed after the course. I felt fulfilled conquering the learning curve of Illustrator, gaining the confidence to tackle challenging tasks. This shift in mindset led me to transition from the education field to pursue my passion for art. Creating art brought me deep satisfaction and joy, and witnessing others connect with and find hope in my work was truly rewarding.

One of the best aspects of the Immersion course is the encouragement and supportive community that Bonnie has created, where no question is too dumb to ask.

Post-Immersion, armed with the Illustrator skills acquired, I launched my first art print collection, earning around RM 700 during the initial release. Surprisingly, it has become a bestseller since then. I've had the privilege of collaborating with clients on personalized designs, book cover, and illustrations for local author. Additionally, I ventured into creating my own merchandise and stationery, including tote bags, greeting cards, washi tapes, stickers, and prints, drawing on the Illustrator skills taught by Bonnie.

In 2022, a well-known POD company from my home country approached me to license my artworks for 58 products, and this collaboration is still ongoing. It's genuinely heartening to occasionally check their website and see that some of my products are sold out!

Just last year, in 2023, I opened my Spoonflower shop, marking another step in my artistic journey.

You won’t regret joining the Immersion Course, as you'll discover a side you never knew existed. It's a decision I've never regretted, looking back. It's not just about the skills, but the mindset shift from a starving artist to an abundant one. Anything is possible as long as you put your heart into it.

For now, I will be focusing more on building strong portfolio, POD sites, and working towards licensing my artwork to more companies.
