Meet Hannah Dillard

I had been working for several years to improve my art techniques, specifically to include illustrations in my books. When I left my teaching job at the end of May 2024, I decided to sell my art at local markets and continue writing and illustrating my own books. In early 2025, I took an intro to Adobe Illustrator course with Bonnie Christine, which led to the follow-up Surface Design Immersion course a few weeks later. I learned how to layer, save, and make my art even more intricate and professional-looking. I love the idea of selling my designs and prints, but my long-term goal is to sell books with my illustrations. Since that course, I have written and illustrated two children’s books and a book on the art process—all of which I used Adobe Illustrator for!
