Meet Melanie
+ In a previous life I was an Oncology Dietitian. I've been out of touch with this world since welcoming my first (and second) beautiful son to the world.
+ I'm a creative at heart, it's in my DNA, it's just that no-one I know (or no one in my family) has had the knowledge or confidence to pursue it as a career option. Making a living out of my art is a dream and I needed guidance to make it happen.
+ Honestly, the only thing holding me back was the price. I realise it is very reasonably priced, but my husband and I had just come out of three years of Bible College, had two babies and moved internationally so funds were, well, tight. HOWEVER, it was worth. every. cent. I wholeheartedly endorse this program!
+ I added an entire new skillset! My confidence changed, my ability, my RESUME.
+ The best part of the course is being able to do it at my own pace. I LOVED the live sessions, the responses to the comments, the wonderful, positive, inclusive community that is created.
+ Here's the really good bit - I've licensed some of my art!!! As I said, when I started I was every essence of a beginner, all I had done was a few watercolour illustrations for friends. In the space of less than 12 months I have created 5 collections, made a portfolio, pitched to numerous companies, licensed some wall decals, designed a Spring collection for a baby company (onesies, bedding, sleep suits) and I'm lining up a whole lot more for 2022! I don't want to toot my own horn too loudly, there is SO MUCH MORE TO LEARN, but I've managed all of this being a stay at home mum with two young boys - it's possible guys!
+ DO.IT. Do it. Do it. Do it. I've made the money back - you must invest in your business and your skills in order to progress to the next stage of your business - it won't happen unless you invest!
+ I'm looking forward to approaching more companies in 2022, finding what professional relationships are waiting for me and what opportunities the new year has in store. I would LOVE to work with a kids bedding company!
